Toolkit - Idea 5
Hello Team
Return to ToolkitPut a photo of all the shop team on a poster and ask them to write things under their name, for example:
How long have they worked here
How long have they lived in or near this town
A hobby
A favourite piece of music
Something they love talking about
A place they would like to visit
You can make these relevant to the shop, so bookshops should definitely have "A favourite book" or what about "Favourite area of the shop" to encourage other customers to explore. You could also be kind to other retailers in the town with something like "My favourite place to get a coffee".
Get creative with the questions to make it interesting for customers to read, but more importantly this will help build a connection between the customers and the team.
Here's an example you can download to read the detail. Using everyone's own handwriting makes this more personal and easier for your customers to know who they are dealing with and connect more.
Please let us have your feedback on this idea and don't forget to send us any great ideas you have.
Together we can make local connections work for everyone.
