Charitable Support

Winston's Wish

Our Journals are carefully designed to create meaningful human connections, capture memories and gift a legacy for generations to come.   They are bought and used for many different occasions, however the legacy becomes all the more powerful at times of sadness.

from you to me is proud to support an amazing charity called Winston’s Wish who are the leading childhood bereavement charity in the UK.  They offer practical support and guidance to bereaved children, their families and professionals.

Neil recently announced our support partnership.  We are delighted to be working in partnership with Winston’s wish to support their amazing work. Our journals are all designed to inspire you to capture, share, celebrate and preserve personal memories and stories on every stage of life’s journey.  Being able to share the things that really matter, look back and reflect on the happy times becomes even more poignant at times of loss. We often hear our customers say ‘I wish I had given one to my Grandmother before it was too late …' and it was in this context we wanted to make our journals readily available for the friends of Winston’s Wish as well as supporting their charity financially.  Our Journals can provide a powerful support for children during and after their bereavement and are used by the team of counsellors at Winston’s Wish. We are delighted to support their charity by providing the journals they need for their work and also by helping raise funds through the sale of our journals.
It is, for us, a perfect match.

Winston’s Wish was set up in 1992 to meet the needs of bereaved children, young people and their families. Since then, they have helped many thousands of children begin to live with their loss.

The idea took root when clinical psychologist, Julie Stokes, visited the USA and Canada on a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship. Inspired by the services she saw there, she returned to the UK and set up Winston’s Wish.  ‘Churchill’ quickly metamorphosed into ‘Winston’ – a bear – who became their mascot. They now say it is Winston’s ‘wish’ that every bereaved child should receive the help they need to cope with the death of someone important in their lives.

More than 100 children are bereaved of a parent every single day in the UK, and the charity needs to raise over £2.5 million each year to continue to help as many of these children as possible.

Please do have a look at their incredible work

If you too are impressed and would like to support them financially, you can purchase our journals on their own website or you can put the gift voucher 'Winston' in our shop, and either way, we will give a high percentage of your purchase to their charity.

We are also working with their team of professional counsellors to develop a journal for children to help them cope and come to terms with bereavement ... watch this space!
