I don’t see you very often, we have such busy lives and we live so far apart, so I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed spending an evening with you.
It was really lovely to talk about ‘the old days’ and recall fun stories from our times together.
I also wanted to tell you that I think you are amazing.
As I listened to you talk about the work that you are doing now, helping youngsters who have been written off by most of society, I felt so proud of you. You have a strength, empathy and understanding that I admire. I couldn’t do what you do, in fact most people couldn’t do what you do.
You will always be my little sister first and foremost and you are also a great woman. To be honest I don’t think I have really acknowledged that until now.
Of course I could have just told you all this, but I wanted everyone to know how great you are and I also wanted all the big sisters out there to think about their little sisters and the great women they have become.
