We have now built on our award-winning Journals of a Lifetime to offer every primary school the perfect leaving gift - creating a lasting legacy from these most influential times of our life.
The standard primary school journal can be purchased ‘off the shelf’ or it can be tailored to meet your own school needs - from the design of the cover to the questions that each page asks ...
The Journals could be either given to the students as a leaving gift or used as a fund-raiser by charging them or their parents. They can be used within lessons to review their time at school and to enable each person to consider what they have learnt and how they might use it in the future.
They also provide the perfect place to capture the memories, the fun and their friendships.
The questions below show the questions included in the standard Journal and these can be used as the framework to create your own version to meet your specific needs.
The finished Journals have 128 pages, measures 143mm by 207mm and are professionally printed for you in the UK.
Costs
The specific cost depends on whether you would like the standard ‘off the shelf’ journal or if you want to create your own personalised version - it also depends on the number of Journals you require.
For further information and ideas on costs, please email us at schools@fromyoutome.com or give us a call on 01225 866225.

Write a letter to an imaginary new pupil starting school now in Year 1 ... Tell them about the school and give them some advice on enjoying their time here.
Here are some comments from the children who have received these journals ...
“I love that in 20 years time I can look back at my experiences ...”
Jamie
“It is great that it’s a hard-back book!”
Michael
“I really enjoyed completing it and a great way to capture our memories of school.”
Courtney
“Most of the questions made me think deeply ...”
Samuel
“I love the questions about what I will be doing in the future ...”
Jade
“With SATs over for another year and a week away on a residential visit, our Year 6s look forward to settling down to recalling their years in primary school for their journal.
They surprise themselves how much they individually and collectively remember of their 7 years at our school. With photographs to assist their memories of when they visited Santa in Year R or came third in the sprints at sports day in Year 3.
The books become treasured possessions at the Leavers Assembly on the last day of the year. The fact that these are 'real' books with hard covers is a definite winner. Children who have left us often return to say, amongst other things, that they continue to add entries to their journals when they remember something they didn't recall at the time of writing.
The reception from parents is always very positive and the governors are enthused that their leaving gift to our pupils is something that should last a lifetime and could be handed down from generation to generation as part of the family tree...”
